About Dry Run
Dry Run turns a recording of an interactive video ad into a short video showing what a viewer actually experiences — the prompt on the TV, the notification on the phone, and the landing page — as a 1920×1080 MP4 you can drop into a deck.
Why
Why it exists
A screenshot of an ad preview doesn't show what happens after someone presses the prompt. Rebuilding that story by hand in editing software takes hours, and everyone does it differently. Dry Run makes the same clean walkthrough in minutes, from any recording.
How
How to make one
- Upload the ad recording and set the crop. Record the preview so the real prompt is already in the picture — the tool crops it exactly as recorded. Only tick "Add the interactive prompt" if your recording genuinely has no prompt in it.
- Add the landing page address and upload a phone screenshot of that page. A desktop screenshot will look wrong, because the page opens on a phone.
- Add the brand and pick a call to action from the list, then press Generate. The MP4 is made in your browser and downloads to your computer.
Security
Security
- Nothing you upload leaves your browser. The recording, the screenshot and the finished MP4 are handled entirely on your device.
- The landing page address is never opened — only the site name is shown in the mockup.
- The only things stored are the brand name, the site name, and anonymous usage counts, in a private log only the tool's owner can read.
